1968 Plymouth Barracuda Notch-Back
Originally a 225 slant-6 engine, the car had at some time been converted to a 318 V8 – one of my personal favorite engines. Here’s the specs on the car.
727 3-speed automatic
8 3/4″ rear end with a 3:55 sure-grip
I bought this car May 15th of 2015 for $9600.
I flew out of LAX up to Eugene OR. alone – one way!
Made the purchase and headed straight to the nearest gas station! Then I began a 900 mile road trip alone in a 49 year old car I knew nothing about. The car ran like a champ except the rear end gears were howling all the way home. It never overheated or burned any oil. It was a VERY fun drive although very long too. I left Eugene about 12:00 pm, drove ALL day…past midnight and pulled it in to my garage at about 4:30 am!
